FAQ

Your domain has different records for different jobs. Website records control where your website loads. Email records control where your email works. We only update the website records. We leave email records alone.

What if I want a different color theme?

Just ask. We can make that change the same day as long as you are on The Works monthly plan. Otherwise, request a quote for our time and effort.

Do I need to move my domain?

No. You can keep your domain where it is. We host the new website and connect it by updating the website records for your domain.

Will this affect my email?

No, not if the domain is handled correctly. Website records and email records are separate. We update only the website records and leave email records like MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC untouched.

Do you need my GoDaddy password?

No. If your domain is on GoDaddy, we can use secure delegate access or send you simple instructions. You do not need to paste your password into our form.

What if I do not know where my domain is?

That is fine. Send us your domain name and we will check where it appears to be managed. If we need anything else, we will explain the next step in plain English.

Can I keep my current hosting?

Sometimes. If your current hosting is clean, accessible, and compatible, we can review it. Most clients use our hosting because it is faster, cleaner, and easier to support.

What happens to my old website?

Before launch, we record the current setup so there is a rollback path if needed. Once the new site is live, visitors will see the new website on your domain.

Can I cancel monthly hosting?

Yes. The hosted plan is month-to-month. If you cancel, we can provide reasonable help transferring the website files. Your domain remains yours.

Who owns my domain?

You do. Your domain stays in your account. We do not take ownership of it.

What records do you change?

Usually we update the website records for your root domain and www version. We do not change email records unless you approve it separately.

What if something breaks?

We record the current website setup before making changes. If there is a problem, we can roll back the website records.

What am I buying?

You are buying website launch support for the previewed website. The work includes setup, basic launch checks, and the items listed on the checkout page for the option you choose.

What is the one-time launch option?

The $400 one-time launch is for customers who want the new site connected to their domain. You keep your domain and email where they are.

What is the hosted monthly option?

The hosted monthly option is $450 for the first payment and $50/month after that. It includes hosting, basic maintenance, small updates, basic lead tracking, and one locally focused website article per week.

What updates are included?

Small updates include normal text edits, photo swaps, phone number changes, business hour changes, review additions, and minor service edits.

What updates are not included?

New pages, major redesigns, custom features, booking systems, ecommerce, advanced integrations, and major copy rewrites are quoted separately.

Are payments refundable?

Because customers can review the website preview before purchase, payments are non-refundable once setup or launch work begins.

What information am I responsible for?

You are responsible for providing accurate business information, service details, contact details, and access information.

What happens if a hosted payment fails?

If a hosted plan payment fails, hosting and update work may pause until the payment issue is resolved.

Terms

Hosted DNS Connection

Most websites are launched by hosting the site with SixtySevenSites and connecting it to the customer’s domain through website records. The customer keeps ownership of the domain.

Email Records

SixtySevenSites does not intentionally modify email-related domain records such as MX, SPF, DKIM, or DMARC unless the customer separately approves those changes.

Customer Domain Access

The customer is responsible for providing a safe way to access or update domain website records. This may include delegate access, account invitation, customer-performed changes, or a screen-share.

Current Hosting Compatibility

Installation on existing customer hosting is not guaranteed. If the current hosting is outdated, restricted, inaccessible, incompatible, or likely to create launch risk, SixtySevenSites may recommend hosted domain connection instead.

Rollback

Before changing website records, SixtySevenSites will make reasonable efforts to record the existing website setup so the website records can be rolled back if needed.
